Title: This big blend bowl is great for large batches.
Review: I am obsessed with my Vitamix blender! The large container is great for big batches, not so great for smaller ones because of the powerful blending capabilities, smaller batches get swirled to the side and off of the blades. I purchased the 36 oz blender bowl, the 2 smoothie containers and 2 8 oz blender bowls and the scrapper that helps reach underneath and around the blades and sides to get every last drop out. Yes, it is a big expense, and yes, it is worth all the hype I heard about the Vitamix for years. My last blender stayed under my cabinet to be pulled out every so often. This one however stays on top and gets used every day. I use it for the normal smoothies, for sure, but since moving to a plant based way of eating, I use it to make sauces out of raw cashews, whir up a batch of almond milk, chop up all the ingredients for yummy soups and even have group my own nut butter. NO, I’m not one of the wacky Vegans, just a normal gal who is totally into eating more naturally. this blender makes this work easy. I’ve never had a creamy sauce like this from a blender before, smooth as silk with no need to soak the nuts in advance. You will not be disappointed in this purchase, once you get over the sticker shock. The saying, “you get what you pay for” is true for this blender purchase.

Title: Right sized
Review: My Vitamix came with the 64oz container which is too large for single serving smoothie, nut butters and the like. This 48oz is a much better size for smaller batches, mixing more effectively since the bottom is narrower and tapered which helps keep the goodie in contact with the blades.

Title: LOVE IT! Used it right out of the box …
Review: LOVE IT! Used it right out of the box to make a late breakfast smoothie about 10 min after the post left it at my door. I have the heritage Pro 7500 series, fits perfectly. First Impressions: same sturdy feel of the larger 64oz, and I like the stacking style handle so when I get the 32oz Dry, I can stack them together for storage, blender containers take up so much room! Since my model Vitamix has the wider squat 64oz container. This 32oz container is actually just as tall as my main 64oz but obviously more narrow, which is PERFECT for 1 maybe even 2 ppl. I could see where people may feel the narrower base on this container would make it wobble on the blender base. But the narrow base fits perfectly inside the edges of the stabilizing notches that rise up from the base(obviously I have NO clue what those things are called …. lol ) as I was saying, it fits perfect just like the wider base fits perfectly over them. I did not notice any wobble even as it was going on 10 and I was not holding it while it was blending. Lastly this does not come With a tamper, so I highly recommend buying the short Vitamix tamper as well. Yes its an add on. Yes its extra, but the tamper is such a great vitamix tool and the regular large tamper doesnt fit easily through the top of the 32oz container. Quick note on Amazon’s Picture. The depiction of the container is correct EXCEPT the lid is a dark grey not black as it appears on my computer (conveniently the short tamper is the same dark grey).

Title: Works perfectly
Review: The Vitamix I bought from Costco came with a large wide bottom pitcher that didn’t work for making small batches of thicker stuff like cashew cream and vegan cheeses. Since this is one of the main reasons I bought it, I needed a smaller pitcher with a narrower base like the classic Vitamix models. I ended up ordering this one for those recipes and it works great.

Title: I love the settings – turn it on and walk away!
Review: I replaced my 10-12 year old Vitamix with the Vitamix Ascent . It seemed like such a splurge, but as I use it every day at least once, it’s a no-brainer so long as it holds up as long as my old one. It is BPA-FREE which is important. The only reason I gave up on my old was was that i mindlessly took the lid off while blending & inserted the plunger which got shredded. The motor was never the same, although it did function. Out of warranty, I’ll pass it on to someone else who can pay for the repair. I was ready for an upgrade. I bought the smaller 48 oz. container (my old one isn’t a match for the Ascent) as I’m generally making a smoothie for one person. I hear the larger container doesn’t blend as well if there’s not enough volume inside. The 64 oz container is collecting dust in the basement. Sadly, you have to buy the 48oz container separately. Ding for that. I didn’t know how much I would really like the programmable settings. It’s my FAVORITE feature. I don’t have to babysit my smoothie and adjust the speed; I just press the button and do my kitchen clean up, get a glass on the counter, and POUR! BOOM! 1) SMOOTHIE setting: I add a touch more water than recipes call for so it doesn’t get stuck. It handles frozen fruit well, leafy greens, salad smoothies – YES! 2) SPREADS setting: Hummus does pretty good – I add a bit more olive oil to keep it moving. 3) CLEAN Setting: I squirt a few drops of dish soap with a half carafe of water & turn it on if I’ve been blending something with oil or onion or other strong flavor; again, it turns itself off when finished. 3) MANUAL SELECT SETTING with the BLENDING BOWL: A) Great for chopping nuts. B) I used the smaller 1 cup Blending Bowl to make a mixture of soaked dates, cocoa and cashews for “truffles”, it stalled a lot; I had to unscrew it 6-8X to reduce the amount of mixture at one time. I may see what happens if I use the mid-size container. However… 4) I LOVED their scraper tool to remove the sticky yummy truffle mix. A spendy piece of plastic, but it scrapes under the tines and the sides of the larger containers really well. It gets a fair amount of use surprisingly. 5) DRY INGREDIENTS CONTAINER: I used this for flax seeds to turn them into flax meal – PERFECT! So much cheaper and fresher than buying it at a store. I will try it in the smaller Blender Bowls & see how that goes. So, after a few months of daily dedicated use, I’m a fan of the Ascent; given the programmable settings & the options to add Smart Accessories like the smaller Blending Bowls… worth the extra. I’d do it again. No regrets.

Title: Enjoy the smaller sized blender
Review: Great alternative to the 64 oz blender container. It’s much smaller and leads to less waste and over consumption of smoothies. Cleaning around the base of the blade is a challenge but overall it’s a great substitute for the larger container. I would like a smaller more compact one but this was the next best thing

Title:
Review: I originally purchased the Ascent Personal cup system that could only make a decent smoothie if you’re willing to fidget with it. I exchanged the personal cup system for the 48 oz Wet Container. The 48 oz container (hands-down) makes better smoothies for 1-2 people. Vitamix should actually include the 48 oz with the Ascent machines since less than 20% of Vitamix owners actually need a 64 oz. Making a smoothie for one person in the 48 oz container is a breeze. You can always buy a separate Smoothie bottle for the 48 oz if you need a to-go-cup. If you care a lot about the quality of your smoothie for 1-2 people, the 48 oz wet container is by far the better way to go. The Smoothies are much smoother with no particles left or clumped dry ingredients. The 48 oz mops the floor with the smoothies made by the personal cup system. The 48 oz smoothies actually meet the quality standard you’d expect from a $600 blender.
