Title: beautiful and functional

I love this faucet. After having a big box home improvement store one for several years, the difference in quality is striking. The spray setting only stays on if you are pushing the button, so we never get soaked like we did with the old one. Pressure is also lower on the spray setting, so again, we don’t get soaked. Occasionally I’d like that needle spray to blast food off of something, but 98% of the time I prefer the way this faucet is. I really dig not needing to wear an apron to do dishes!

Title: This is the one to get

I have replaced my kitchen faucet three times before, the others would eventually start leaking at the pull-down part. This one is designed differently and the quality of the materials are much better. I have been using it about a year and really like it. It angles out into the sink just a little more which keeps water from going all over the back of the counter which all the other ones used to do. The little lip on the spray handle fits comfortably in the fingers and even with soapy hands you can easily control it. The wide sprayer only works while you are pushing it in so you can go back and forth from spray to regular without turning off the water. The matching soap dispenser is also working well without a problem.

Title: Looks Aren’t Everything

Yes, I know it is beautiful. Probably one of the most beautiful, streamlined, contemporary kitchen faucets out there right now. Belongs in a modern art museum (but not in a kitchen). Unfortunately, as some reviewers have mentioned, the sprayer is extremely weak, making this product useless for what it was intended to do – rinsing and washing dishes. When my sink was filled with soapy water, I literally had to wave my hand back and forth to get suds, because the sprayer would not do it. Terrible. At a rated flow rate of 1.75 GPM, one would think that the sprayer would be more powerful. Many of Moen’s faucets are only 1.5 GPM. I tried Delta and Kohler faucets on the exact same sink (both rated at 1.8 GPM, the max for my state of California), and their sprayers seemed to be 3 times more powerful. I read the other reviews complaining about the weak sprayer, but purchased this faucet anyway because I was so in love with the look. But I learned my lesson and returned it. Bought a Kohler “Sous” faucet, which is, in my opinion, a perfect product; plenty of power and control for the sprayer.

Title: Fantastic high-quality faucet

I had this faucet installed recently and am super happy with the apparent quality of the construction and how it performs. I especially like the aeration effect or normal operation as it is powerful enough that I rarely need to press the sprayer button. The pull-out head slides nicely in and out and snaps back in due to the magnet. I had a plumber install the faucet due to the cramped quarters due to the deep sink and the placement of the water pipes coming out from the wall, which needed to be moved. I would definitely buy this one again if I had to do it all over.

Title: Spray feature on head

Beautiful faucet however be aware that the high arc spout is very sensitive to movement and will swing left and right with a very light touch. Also, the spray on the head does not consistently stay on but only works while you are holding the button.

Title: Form follows function

We had an old (20+ years) Grohe faucet start losing its enamel coating and wanted something that could replace it and give us the same functionality. Tried a Moen from Home Depot ($150) that I had to take out and return after 3 weeks of absolute disgust with it loosening up all the time, bad ergonomics, etc. This Hansgrohe came, and looked kinda tall and over-sized when I first installed it – very easy to do by the way – but it gleams, it feels good to use, and it really works nicely. We are completely pleased with the product and the online supplier.

Title: “easy install.” Installation Guide: recommend unit be installed by a licensed, professional plumber.

This is a really good, high-quality faucet I bought to replace an existing one in our kitchen sink. The advertising touted it as an “easy install.” However, the first sentence in the instructions is “Hansgrohe recommends this unit be installed by a licensed, professional, plumber. So do I. I grew up in my family’s plumbing business. If I had not, I doubt that I could have properly installed this faucet. The installation guide did not have a list of parts included in the package, leading to some guesswork as to what everything in the box was and how it went together. Then the installation instructions were bare bones. The picture included with this review is an unidentified plastic part, which is almost certainly a wrench for tightening the nut holding the faucet in the sink. Most, if not all, faucet kits include such a tool because the average homeowner would not have a specialized plumbing tool called a “basin wrench” to tighten the nut under the sink holding the faucet to the counter. I was unable to use the included plastic tool to tighten the nut because it was too big to fit between the sink and the wall under my counter. Since my father was a plumber, my toolbox with hand tools includes a basin wrench. Your toolbox does not. In addition, the nut to tighten the faucet is poorly designed. It was too shallow to accommodate any other kind of wrench or pliers other than the included specialized plastic tool, so tightening the nut would have been impossible for me without the basin wrench. The basin wrench has spring-loaded jaws that can latch onto almost any shape and grip it tightly. Attaching the faucet to the counter was the biggest challenge of the install. Connecting the hot and cold water supplies to the stop valves was quick and easy, except there was no way to tell the hot and cold water supplies apart. Many braided water hoses intended for use as hot and cold supplies are coded with intermittent red lines. Fortunately, the lines were long enough for me to pull one out of the cabinet door from under the counter, open the faucet to either hot or cold, and blow into the supply line to determine which line was hot and which cold. In summary, it’s a great faucet once it’s installed. Documentation and installation instructions are sadly lacking or deficient. If you buy it, have a plumber install it unless you have experience with plumbing. Installation in an existing sink already in a counter can be very challenging.

The product was damaged – there was a big dent in the faucet. I only discovered this when the plumber was here installing it and I had to have him install it as I would not have had a tap otherwise. I was extremely disappointed in this product.
