Review: We’ve owed Dyson since 2006. Back in May we decided to try another brand that had good reviews, but the roller stopped working in 5 months. Back to Dyson we go. Great vacuum. Worth every pretty penny! We have both hardwood and laminate floors. Works great on both.

Title: Not worth the money
Review: Amazon delayed 2 day prime shipping and lied 3 times about tracking numbers and dates it would arrive. Was originally told it would be shipped by Amazon then it changed to US Postal Service then it changed to UPS. None of the tracking codes worked each time we spoke with a customer service rep. They would say rest assured we will take care of this. It was a complete lie. I was told multiple times rest assured it would arrive that day and it didn’t. They do not care and did not do anything about it. It arrived 6 days later. When the vacuum arrived, you have to hold the button the entire time you’re using it or it will shut off. This is not good for people who have arthritis. It hurts to hold something down that long. You should be able to have a on-off switch without having to hold, the button to keep it on. This is not good for people with a disability either. Second, the battery said it would last 36 minutes with a full charge. It lasted under 15 minutes. We could not finish the entire house we do not have that big of a house. The suction seems good but it did still miss some pieces that were small and lightweight so it was kind of surprising that they did not get picked up. I will be returning this vacuum. Not worth 1k. Won’t buy from Amazon for a major purchase needed on time.

Title: Winner compared to the V8 absolute
Review: My Dyson v8 died two weeks ago. Yes, it was just the battery and it lasted 6 amazing years. My plan is still to replace the battery and move it to the basement for use, but in the meanwhile I took advantage of Amazon Prime day to make the pricey purchase of the v15 plus!It came in THREE boxes which was bizarre and wasteful, but the device was pre-charged so I put it to immediate use. In the short time I used it, it showed me how much those two weeks of no vacuuming made my house disgusting.The green light showed EVERY piece of dust in my house. It also collected all of them too! It was amazing and made my OCD kick in to high gear. I happily could’ve vacuumed my whole house for the whole day if the battery had lasted that long.I don’t think it was fully charged, but in AUTO mode it lasted about 25 mins. Switching to ECO mode showed an additional 10 mins on that time, but I decided to keep it in AUTO. ECO mode worked just as well, but slower. (EDIT 7/27/24 : the battery was not full when I took it out of the box and it actually lasts about 50 mins in auto and 90 in eco!!! Amazing!!!)It’s lighter than my v8 by maybe 1 lb(haven’t looked it up)? Super easy to use and I think most people would manage just fine.Downsides in comparison are that the canister is bigger (that’s also a plus mind you – less emptying) so it doesn’t fully reach the halfway point under my queen bed like the v8 did. That being said, the profile of the hard wood attachment is shorter in height and reaches better under low furniture! The v15 also doesn’t rotate as easily on the hardwood and makes it a bit clunky at times.Everything else is better though! Highly recommend purchasing (on sale), or if you time it right, get the exclusive v15 absolute on Dyson’s actual website on sale. It wasn’t on sale for me and I couldn’t wait any longer without vacuuming.(Just a note that my whole house is mostly hardwood, with only the basement being carpet – I haven’t tested the carpet tool out yet)

Title: Powerful but hard to justify premium price
Review: This vacuum is powerful! The detect laser is helpful on hardwood and tile to find the dust bunnies and hair. It is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver. The design makes it easy to get under tables, beds, and chairs. The battery on this model is near an hour of run time and plenty for our house (4 bedrooms). Minor issues encountered: Unfortunately the vacuum I received appears to be used, as it had dust on many of the pieces and battery. Everything was there and worked properly so I did not reach out to Amazon to return and send a new unit. LCD screen: Small gripe that it is not a great screen for something you would expect on a near thousand dollar vacuum. Dust Bin: the bin is large and easy to drop into the trash. You do have to disconnect from the main stick to get to the bin, which of course doesn’t stand up and balance itself. Charging Base: The base is designed to be hung on a wall and connected to a nearby outlet. Unfortunately, we do not have an outlet in our coat closet. I wish this had a stand to let it stand on and charge. I will look into an accessory stand that will work best.

Title: Well worth the additional price above the V8
Review: We have had the V8 model for several years and have been very satisfied with it, but the improvements of the V15 Detect Plus are well worth the additional price! Twice the battery time, almost twice the suction, the Detect function with the “Auto” mode clean the floor much faster and you will be amazed just how much dirt you never saw before with the Detect Laser. We did a test using the V8 then going over the same space after that with the V15, and it still got a half canister of additional dirt and fuzz.

Title: Sucks so hard it will put a smile on your face
Review: This new model is a huge step up from the previous v10. The amount of increased suction is VERY noticeable. The attachments and the way the vacuum opens/closes, etc appears to be all the same as the previous models, which is nice to use a few of the other attachments with no issues. I’ve got mixed feelings about the “laser light” it has. Not because it doesn’t work but because it works well and shows just how dirty the floor is. This really highlights dirt like you would not believe. The new hard floor attachment and small pet hair attachment heads are great and work exceptionally well. The weight and balance seem to be about the same. This is such a huge step up from the v10 model in just about every way I can see.
