Review: I’m a latecomer to kitchen trends. I took my time getting an Instant Pot, and I may be the last person on the block to get an air fryer. I have a convection oven, and didn’t see the need for an air fryer, which is essentially a tabletop convection oven. But it really is different. My convection oven takes much longer to preheat, doesn’t circulate the hot air as well, and I still have to clean air frying pans.The Kitchen Elite Air Fryer XL was a pleasant surprise. The 8.5 quart capacity has a lot of room for food. The surface for the food is punched metal, not a wire grid basket, and has a non-stick surface. It’s easy to remove and clean, as is the entire container. The outside is stainless steel and plastic, and also cleans up easily,.Like a lot of people I usually try to figure out how an appliance operates before reading the manual, and this air fryer is pretty intuitive. Set the temperature and let it heat for 5 minutes. I discovered the menu of preset times/temperatures for various types of food, and it’s a big time saver.A LED reminds you to shake the food midway through the cooking process. I recommend using the automated settings as much as possible, because if you turn the fryer off or let the clock time out, you’ll have to re-enter your settings.The capacity at this price is pretty good. It’s eminently cleanable and that’s so important in kitchen equipment.

Title: Very Nice Air Fryer, with a few tiny design tweaks I would make
Review: This is a beautiful air fryer that adds a nice touch to my kitchen aesthetic when compared to my older white air fryer. The capacity is impressive, and it seems to cook as efficiently as I expected.While I think it’s an excellent product overall, it does have a few design shortcomings that I think could be improved. Most notably, the air fryer bin holds in place by pressure and there is no button to remove it. As a result of the friction and lack of a release button, I have to steady the top of the air fryer before pulling the tray out. It’s not a big deal, but I think it could be improved.The on/off switch briefly confused me because it is also the start/stop button. This wasn’t an issue once I realized it, but I did find it surprising.Finally, I found it confusing that the various lights for different types of cooking were not actually buttons. Once I realized how to shift from one to the next, this was not an issue, but at a glance I had expected to be able to quickly select a specific cooking setting with a single press.Overall this is a terrific unit, and I would consider it again in the future. That said, other options could alleviate these small points for improvement.
